    Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh was set up by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) in 2015 as tier 3 intitute . It was established under Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model with the financial contributions of MHRD, Government of India, Government of Uttar Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh Electronics Corporation Ltd. as industry partners.
