The IIIT Nagpur is a public- private partnership type of Institute, established in the year 2016. It is also an Institute of National Importance. It is a public Institution. The Institute offers great placement opportunities for students, the highest packages as per 2023 was INR 87 Lacs per annum. The overall percentage of placement record was 90% which is quite impressive.

Having commenced operations in 2016, IIIT Nagpur currently provides BTech and PhD programs in engineering spanning multiple specializations. When applying to the institute's flagship BTech program, candidates must have valid JJ Main scores. JoSAA/CSAB counseling is then required.
