Is IIITDM Kancheepuram tier 1 college?

<p>IIITDM Kancheepuram has been ranked as one of the top engineering colleges in India. Tamil Nadu. It was established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India in 2007. It is one of the two IIITDMs, the other one is IIITDM Jabalpur. The Institution has been ranked 184th in he engineering category. Also the placement record is decent, 85% of students got placed. A total of 286 students registered for the placements, among which 279 job offers were distributed.</p>

<p>Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design &amp; Manufacturing (IIITDM), Kancheepuram is among the top Engineering and Design institutes in India. IIITDM Kancheepuram has been awarded a rank band of 101-150 by the NIRF Rankings 2024 in the Engineering category.</p><p>Also, the placement rate recorded during the placement drive in 2023 was 73%. The overall the highest package offered during the campus placement stood at INR 32 LPA. Moreover, the Computer Science &amp; Engineering branch average package was the highest compared to all other branches.</p><p>Therefore, based on the facts and figures mentioned above it can be said that IIITDM Kancheepuram is way better than tier 2 engineering colleges.</p>
