The Indian Institute of Mass Communication Aizawl, also known as IIMC Aizawl, was formally inaugurated as the East Regional Centre of IIMC on August 8, 2011. IIMC Aizawl students work for a wide range of international, national, and local news organisations, such as Reuters, WION, PTI, The Times of India, The Indian Express, Mathrubhumi, and Malayala Manorama. At the moment, IIMC Aizawl offers just two course choices. Currently, IIMC Aizawl is housed at the temporary campus of Aizawl University.
