Is IISc Bangalore tougher than IIT?

<p>IISc stands for Indian Institute of Science. The institute is a public university in Bangalore that focuses on education in sciences at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Talking about comparison in the difficulty level of IISc Bangalore with IIT, the former is hard to enter in terms of admission, the students are evaluated based on their academic background on school as well as undergraduate level (in case of students pursuing postgraduate courses) . The institute focuses on producing quality brains which excell in research sciences. While IIT has various researches going on by multiple teams on students, IISc Bangalore focuses on one reasearch at a time by small number of students which results to more impactful results .&nbsp;</p><p>Keeping this aside, both the institutes are well reputed and stands at a good position globally as well . <p>Yes, for admission to some of the programmes IISc Bangalore is way tougher than IITs. Also, the quality of education, research &amp; development quality at IISc Bangalore has very high standards. IISc Bangalore has produced some of the most eminent personalities and has a very high registered patent record.</p><p>For getting admission to any of the courses offered at IISc Bangalore, candidates are required to take the entrance exams specified by the university and candidates having valid scores/ percentile will be selected for further admission process.</p>
