    Yes, IIT Bombay is one of the best college in India for engineering, Established in 1958, the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay is the first public college to have assistance from UNESCO. In 1961, IIT bombay was declared as an Institute of National Importance by the Indian Parliament. Nationally and Internationally, the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay improved its ranking to 149th position in the rankings of QS World Rankings 2024 from 172th position in the QS World Rankings 2023.     In 1961, IIT Bombay was one of the first IITs to be declared an 'Institute of National Importance' by the Parliament of India. Ranking wise, IIT Bombay ranks no. 3 and 4 under 'Engineering' and 'Overall' categories, respectively, by the prestigious NIRF 2023 Rankings.
