Is IIT JEE coaching is feasible along with 11th and 12th standard studies. Can students score good results in 12th standard ?

Well coaching is surely feasible but the question is whether a student would be able to give real effective time to coaching while in XIth or XIIth. If you can then you may join coaching. If not, then take one thing at a time and firmly establish the science fundamentals in your mind by paying due attention to your regualr studies of XI and XIIth. The pattern of selection to higher courses are being modified and now the marks of XIIth also pay a good role in the admissions.

Hi Pooja, Well this is a little tricky question to be answered as for some it will be a good idea and for others it will be a bad one! Well as per my opinion, it will be a nice option as most of the syllabus of most of the engineering entrance examination is based on topics covered by the CBSE Board Examination (AISSCE) and the ISC Board Examination. An Important question. Not only for students in Class 12th, but also for students in class 11th. Some of my personal experience, plus remedies are as follows: There are 2 options. either you join an institute which is the weekend batch or the batch during weekdays. In weekends, your class is of atleast 6 hours, 2 hours without break for each subject. phy, chem and Maths. The whole day goes into coaching and travelling back and forth. At max 2 hours to revise all done that day and none left to pay attention to School Acads. Even if you do squeeze out some time, then at what cost? You deprive yourself of sleep and health. Then there is the weekday batch. The whole day, whether you study or not at school, admit it. it is exhausting. Then the time when your real study begins, your concentration level is not as much as it was that morning, which it should. in the end, you end up in classes after school just to take down notes. This is what the majority of engineering aspirants go through. There are students with amazing potential and capabilities who can withstand the exhaustion, but not all IITian had to go through all that. On meeting an ex IITian I adopted the following: Its never too late to start. so don't panic if you think you are lagging behind. Get a personal Tutor. Maybe with a friend or two. (Mine was one on one). The Tutor had hands on experience in teaching at reputed institutes like Narayana and FIITJEE. One on one interaction is undoubtedly the most effective mode of teaching, you imbibe more, understand better and get your doubts clarified then and there. After teaching you each subject systematically, he will provide you with his personal notes in the end. which not only helps prepare for Competition exams, but for CBSE too. CBSE is really important now since only top 20%ile students are eligible to give the JEE exams. You could have special doubt classes at will with him. Apart from that, obviously he will keep taking short/big conceptual tests now and then to keep you on your toes. I more or less let 11th standard acads slip out of my hands and had to study 11th and 12 th acads in one year. not to mention the pressure of studying for the competitions and boards kept looming over me. But I adopted the above advice and everything fell into place. And hey, I managed to get into a Very Reputed College myself. All the Very Best
