    IIT Kanpur is a government funded college. It is established in 1958. The college is approved by AICTE and it is accredited to NAAC. It is ranked 4 under the engineering collee and 5 under the overall ctegory by NIRF. It offers several Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Certificate programmes in various courses such as B.E, M.E, PHD, PGDM, MBA,  BTECH, and B.Sc, etc.  The admission to the college are solely based om the entrance examination. The entrance exam accepted by tge college are JEE, GATE, CAT, MAT, etc.The college offers high placement opportunities to the students. The placement rate of the college is 95.30%. The high

    Situated in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India, the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur) is a public technical institute. The Institute of Technology Act was used by the Indian government to proclaim it an Institute of national importance. One of the first Indian Institute of Technology, the institute was founded in 1959 with support from a group of nine US research universities as part of the Kanpur Indo-American Programme (KIAP).IIT Kanpur was the first university in India to teach Computer Science, working under the direction of economist John Kenneth Galbraith.
