IT ENGG. INCLUDES SOFTWARE ENGG ONLY,
ON THE OTHER HAND, CS MEANS SOFTWARE ENGG. AS WELL AS HARDWARE ENGG.
IN IT COMPANIES, THERE ARE MOSTLY CS CANDIDATES AS COMPARED TO IT CANDIDATES.
IF U R NOT INTERESTED TO STUDY COMPUTER'S HARDWARE COMPONENTS, THEN IT ENGG. IS BETTER OPTION.

Information technology is now a branch of engineering. If you are talking abour core engineering branches such as Civil & Mechanical then I would say that IT as well as the core engg branches both have equal importance and the scope for a candidate would depend upon how best an he/she can acquire th

These days fields like electronic,electrical,mechanical & civil are the most opted fields. IT has faded a bit...but your choice you can even opt for Computer Science,Computer Engineering as well.

but BE (computer science) is far and much better than BE (information technology)..u will get deep knowlege and good placement with computer science...all the best for ur future....
