Yes, it is. It's PGDM is equivalent to MBA. It is officially announced by SUPREME COURT of INDIA.

IMI is an AICTE approved institute, only universities and colleges which provides degree needs to be approved by UGC. IMI provides a diploma like other IIM's. However, the PGDM program is AIU approved, which makes the PGDM equivalent to MBA
