Is IMS BHU a tier 1 institute?

<p>IMS BHU is approved by the Medical Council of India and ranks&nbsp;<strong>8</strong> in the <strong>Medical</strong> and <strong>18</strong> in the <strong>Dental</strong> category as per the <strong>NIRF 2024</strong> rankings. It was established in the year <strong>1960</strong> as a College of Medical Sciences and later on gained recognition as an Institute of Medical Sciences in 1971. The Institute offers UG and PG-level in Medicine, Ayurveda, and Dental Science. IMS BHU began with <strong>9</strong> departments in Medical Sciences and <strong>1</strong> department in Indian Medicine. IMS is one of the 6 institutes of Banaras Hindu University and has 3 faculty members (<strong>Medicine</strong>, <strong>Ayurveda</strong> and <strong>Dental Science</strong>). Based on the IMS BHU placement records of 2024, the median package offered to 5-year UG in 2023 was <strong>INR 16 LPA</strong>, while the PG 3-year placement recorded <strong>INR 13.5 LPA</strong> <strong>median salary </strong>on the other hand.</p><p>The NIRF 2024 ranks can be considered as a certification of the successful evolution of the curriculum and the quality of education that it provides.
