The Indian Maritime University (IMU) in Navi Mumbai has a good on-campus placement record. Almost 90% of students in the 2017-2020 batch were placed in international shipping companies. Top recruiting companies include Synergy, Maersk, NYK lines, and V Shipping.

The average salary offered at IMU is 7 lac per annum. The highest package offered is 12 LPA and the lowest is 5.5 LPA for B.Tech in Marine Engineering.

Some say that the training at IMU is good, but the infrastructure is a bit of an issue. IMU is a government college, so it doesn't take as much money from cadets.
