    Yes, in this college there is a great scope for IT students as it has wonderful placements in IT field. Last year, 300 IT companies visited Chandigarh University. So, I would conclude that Chandigarh University is very good for information technology.

    Yes, IT is an amazing option with great opportunities. It's very similar to computer science and 99% of companies which hire CS graduates, also consider IT graduates for the same kind of jobs. So go ahead and enroll at Chandigarh University and work hard for the four years of your engineering.

    If comparing CSE and IT generally for placements or higher studies, preference is given to a student from CSE background as compared to IT this is because a student from CSE is presumed to be familiar with all concepts of subjects offered in IT but the same cannot be said for a student of IT.
