Is it a good choice to pursue B.Tech in biotechnology from LPU? How is its placement assistance?

Well yes ofcourse it is a good choice to pursue B.Tech Biotech from LPU. Being an alumnae of LPU and I did my B.Tech & M.Tech in Biotechnology from here itself. I can confidently say, B.Tech Biotechnology at LPU offer wide variety of career options, right from Research & Development, to 100% Placements. Both the quality of education and industrial exposure is well utilized in educating their student mass. LPU provides ample opportunities to each and every eligible student to secure good placement with the help of a dedicated Division of Career Services (team of about 40 person) and faculty/staff from parent School. On an average, more than 600 companies visit every year for various industry-academia activities and campus-recruitment of students from LPU students have been working in more than 1400 reputed companies across the globe. Even the pandemic could not stop us curating careers of our young talent at LPU. For witnessed outstanding batch graduating in 2021, already 1000+ campus placement/internship drives have been conducted till March 2021 with leading industry giants generating more than 5200+ offers. Zyla Health, Medtronics, GSK, Translumina, Nestle India, PIMS, Titan Biotech, Moon Frog, Intertek, Roots Analysis, Allied analytics, Cognizant Technology Solutions, HiCare, Lifecell, Wisdom Global, Dr. Lal Path Labs, TechSci Research, Dalmia Healthcare, Freyr Solutions, Meditab, Cryoviva Biotech, Poly Medicure Ltd. , DXC Technology, Nanoveda Solutions, etc. Are few names to recall when it comes to placement. As per the reviews received by my juniors I found the School has been getting a result of 100% placement from past three years now. On an average the package stands to be 4.5 lac per annum. Usually placed as Research Analyst, Quality Specialist and Technicians profile.

Dear Tushar, Yes, it is totally worth pursuing a B.Tech in Biotechnology at LPU. My friend also did this programme at LPU. After having a B.Tech degree from LPU in biotech. , students can find jobs in pharmaceutical companies, research labs, and institutions in India. However, most Indian students tend to go abroad to pursue their master's or doctorate studies in Biotechnology and allied fields. Some students also shift to MBA and enter the world of business, finance, and banking as their engineering background gives them the required quantitative skills to excel in these sectors. Also, many students shift to software through on-campus placements. The LPU Biotech students have a vast scope as they can work in sectors of pharmaceuticals, agriculture, healthcare, food processing, nutrition, animal Science, and environmental conservation. There are many colleges and universities which are providing this course but It will be advisable if you do your degree from a well-known university like LPU and which provides prime placement opportunity, outstanding exposure, and professional enhancement training. Since this field is highly research-oriented, vast, and diverse, it is highly recommended that students pursue their graduate studies in Biotechnology at LPU, Biomedical Sciences, Biological sciences, Bioprocess Engineering, etc. LPU provides ample opportunities to each and every one of eligible students to secure a good placement.
