The M.Tech seat intake at IIT Dhanbad is yet to be revealed for 2026 admissions. Last year, 798 seats were offered by IIT Dhanbad for M.Tech admissions. Out of these seats, 475 seats were reserved for special category candidates.

Candidates need to graduate from BTech at IIT Dhanbad with a minimum GPA of 8.0 or above to qualify for M.Tech admissions without GATE. Only the candidates who clear BTech from IIT Dhanbad are allowed admissions without GATE into M.Tech at II Dhanbad with the aforementioned score.
