Is it a good decision for a B.Com graduate to pursue PGDCA and than MBA (Information Technology) for further studies?

I am in B.Com final year and I am interested in computers. But I do not have maths in my 10+2 so I cannot do MCA. But I heard about PGDCA and MBA (IT) course. Is it good decision to do PGDCA and than MBA (IT). Will my commerce background create a problem in the future in getting me a job?

If you have the right skills and passion, background will not be a problem. If you are interested in programming, then MBA is not the right place for you. MBA will teach you to manage IT projects or to be a B.A. It will not teach you to code. You learn programming languages if your goal is to become software developer. You are already a B.Com so I guess instead of switching to programming now, you can do MBA and manage projects, All the best!

If you score well in CAT /XAT /SNAP/NMAT, you will get a better college for MBA. If you want to get admission directly in any college, you can take admission. You should do MBA just after B.Com.

PGDCA is just a certification. It is useful for you to get a job directly with lesser scope. But, if you go for MBA after the B.Com, you may have more opportunities in management (IT), then compared to PGDCA and your subject (commerce), it will not effect it.
