Is it a good decision to pursue CSE/IT skipping chemical engineering? I have scored 4200 AIR in JEE mains 2016.

Depends on your interest in the aforementioned fields and the institute options you have. CSE/IT is certainly a good option since you have a good rank and will surely be able to secure a seat in one of the good institutes. If you really wants to study CSE or IT then it's ok. If you have no interest in chemical engineering then it's not a bad idea i guess. beside few universities and colleges gives you an Oportunity to change streams after one year if you hold good grades in dirst year. you may contact with college aut
