Is it a good idea to opt for animation as a career after B.Tech and 2-years of experience in IT sector?

I have completed my B.Tech in IT and PGD in Advance computing. Now I am feeling stuck as I am very creative and innovative but due to family pressure I am confused. I don't want to regret all my life.
