Is it a good idea to opt for CSE even after not studying computers after class 9th? Will it be a better option to choose any other stream?

You don't need to worry. I never studied computer applications in school, but I am doing B.Tech in CSE and I have no problem at all.

There is no problem in pursuing an engineering degree if you have not taken CS as a subject in school. Basic computer science and at least one computer programming language is taught to all engineering branch students in the first year of engineering.

It's absolutely fine to take CSE. There is a very little or negligible connection of computer science taught at school level to subjects in CSE.
