Is it a good idea to pursue Fashion Designing after doing graduation in History? Can I get job in Tier-2 or 3 cities?

<p>History graduates can independently pursue Fashion Designing as an acceptable career pathway when fashion interests them greatly. Fashion institutes provide postgraduate Diploma and certificate programs designed to teach non-design graduates. Students can pursue M.Des (Master of Design), PG Diploma in Fashion Designing, short-term certification courses among others.</p><p>Fashion industry opportunities have emerged in both Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities because these locations see growing boutique stores as well as textile operations and local fashion businesses in addition to expanding online fashion ventures. Fresh graduates in design earn between Rs 3-5 LPA at the beginning of their careers although their compensation increases to Rs 6-10 LPA with industry experience. Freelance business or boutique ownership offers lucrative opportunities in these cities as the recent years have proven their potential for profitability.</p><p>&nbsp;</p>
