Yes, these two goes hand in hand. I myself is an engineer, and now I am pursuing MBA from Doon Business School, Dehradun. I like market research a lot. Software like SPSS must be learnt prior to get a good hold over Market research.

7 years agoYes, market research is a good field. Corporate do need extensive information about competitors and current market conditions. Market research tools are easy to Master for engineers. It also uses extensive use of maths mainly statistics, probability distributions, and algebra. A good knowledge of Quants and a bit of basic programming skills will help you to excel in this field. So, in all its a good option to go for market research after B.Tech.
