Is it a good idea & will it prove to be helpful for future?
I am a final year student of BBA & planning to take a year break after it to prepare for the competitive exams to pursue MBA in marketing. Also, the college from which I am pursuing my BBA is not good in terms of placements.

It is a good and useful idea provided you are giving your best and sincerest effort to reach your goal. One thing I would like to add is if possible take the assistance of professional coaching centres if required.
