Is it a good option to prepare for IAS after completing B.Tech?

It is certainly a good option to become IAS after BTech. You find plenty of such examples also these days.

Yes itvis a good option but then be very sure about going in the admintrative line of Govt sector. It is difficult to come in merit in UPSC exam in the first attempt itself. Sure.
But first get into an IIT. Study and groom yourself because you have to decide the course of your life. Becoming and IAS office is not the end of the road.
