Hello Prahalad, Don't ever waste 2-3 years after 12th to get into IIT. It is not that tough and just studying for 2-3 years will make you a candidate of no use. Yes, the interviewers look for the continuity of study. If you drop atleast a year, they will be asking you. So it is better to drop 1-yea

I gave JEE Mains this year and have got only 19 marks along with 74% in 12th. Is NIST, Berhampur a good college?

Don't waste your 2-3 years. Instead, take admission in a good college and pursue engineering, and become a good engineer. Good luck.
