Is it a right decision to do financial modelling course? Will it be helpful in other profile if I don't get in investment banking?

For a finance student, learning the financial modelling is a must. Not just for the investment banking professionals but also useful for Financial Analyst, Finance managers, portfolio managers, equity (or derivatives) analyst to make the finance model for further decision making. It is

It is not like learning financial modelling is only for finance. But, it is applicability is more towards finance (credit and insurance risk, VAR & VLM etc.). Rather, entire business verticals. So, learning financial modeling will majorly help you in Finance sector. Hope you get it.
