In private or deemed university you can get admision at 45% marks

Yes it is a rule that you need to have 50% marks but in 12th. Some colleges and universities prefer students having 50% in PCM. Admission criteria also varies from institution to institution. Of course, as per the instructions issued by various governments and agencies for admissions to B Tech programmes, you must have at least 50% aggregate with PCM and you must clear state/national level entrance examinations
