Is it a wise decision for a Maths (Hons) graduate to take History as the main subject for the IAS exam
hi, everyone. i am aditya.recently i have complited my graduation with math(Hon) i wana be an IAS officer.could i take history subject as a main sub. howfar is it comfortable for me.??????

Hi Aditya,
While choosing the main subject you should keep in mind your educational background and interest, always opt for the subjects related to you own stream, If you are from Arts background and studies History you can go ahead with History as your main Subject. In case you are from any other

since you feel history comfortable i strongly believe that you should opt for it as one of your main subject and simultaneously maths as your other optional for your main UPSC examination. and i would like to add my own view as well that current UPSC's pattern has been changed a bit and require more
