Is it advisable to first finish automobile engineering and then enter designing?

If you have taken Admission in Automobile Engineering already, and if you are in 2nd or 3rd year, I will advise to finish the Engineering first. If you are interested in designing and you want to pursue a career in the same then opting for automobile engineering and then opting for designing will result in wastage of crucial time. Infact, you should look out for courses in the automobile designing field in the first go.
