Is it advisable to join 1st year B.Tech in a top ranked engineering college for B.Tech after already completing 1st year in another college?

I have already completed 1st year B.Tech in computer science in one college. Now, If I get an admission in a top ranked engineering college. Is it advisable to waste one year and join this college in first year again?

    It totally depends on candidate. If you are capable enough to pay fee for an extra year then you should opt for top ranked college. But here is a catch that how would you compare a bright student from low ranked college with an average or below from top ranked college. Going to top ranked college will only ensure that you will get more number of opportunities in comparison to low ranked college. So if infrastructure of both colleges are nearly same and faculty at your current college have good reputation then I will recommend you to stay in your current college.
