is it advisable to sit and prepare for mba for one year after completing btech ,though i have got job in tcs but my joining has not come yet

my engineering results came late as a result of which my joining in tcs have been delayed for 6 months i couldnt write cat 2011 but now i want to prepare for 2012 mba entrance exams is it advisable to leave the job and prepare for mba 2012 exams

    don't waste one year, I think tcs will be sending call letter by the end of jan

    From my past experiences, I would suggest the following options
    1. A gap is not considered good at this level. Hence join the job and keep preparing simultaneously
    2. If you take a gap, you need to defend it properly. The best defensive strategies are certifications like NCFM or CFA or CAPM etc which will at the same time, enhance your profile for selection in top notch B Schools.
