is it appropriate to go for a bachelors degree rather than diploma.. What would help me excel in animation field?

I want to build my career in Graphic Animation and Multimedia, please advise me over the choices of Diploma courses and Bachelors Degree in this field, which one would help me excel?

Qualifications do not matter much in the creative field. However, UGC does specify certain qualifications in education. So if your aim is to become a faculty then it would matter at some places.
