M.Com is a two year postgraduate degree program to provide the student with a wide range of specialized skills in area of Commerce, Accounting and management. It also helps in preparing the students for business enterprises in Account and Finance roles. M.Com itself may not be a sufficient qualification for long term career growth. Graduate may have to do professional certifications such as CFA, CMA, LOMA etc for long term career growth and opportunities. MBA after M.Com gives a big push to career even in financial vertical.

Pursuing MBA in the area of choice is always advisable and beneficial for the aspirants. However, instead of going through M.Com one will be benefited more by directly pursuing MBA. MBA finance covers almost all the aspects of Accountancy. It gives an added approach to see the things with a different perspective and resolve the challenges with all the required managerial skills. It is therefore advisable to go for MBA directly.
