Is it better to do BCA and MCA rather than B.Tech these days?

I want to pursue a course related to computer science.

    B.Tech CS/IT are most acceptable degree in IT industry. MCA is second best degree after B.Tech CS/IT. You are advised to do any based on your choice but from a reputed college which has good faculty and placement records.

    BCA makes you adept at the application level of computers whereas B.Tech makes you proficient at the technical level (Software, Hardware, applications etc. ). It depends upon your interest. After BCA for a better career one should for MCA also but in case of B.Tech. You can immediately look forward to the jobs in the industry. Both programmes are having good opportunities.     Hello there,
    Coming direct straight to the point, from my view, one must have gone with B.Tech in CS/CE/IT instead of BCA+ MCA
    because companies also give first preference to B.Tech guys.

    Hi dear,There cannot be a close ended answer to this. Yes, B.Tech has lost its charm and there have been observations that jobs are not coming the way. But, the same applies on BCA or even MCA. B.Tech or BE are the primary Engineering degrees and BCA is considered the second line of Computer learning. See the difference in BC Applications and Computer Technology or Science or engineering.

    Both the options have their own learning and outcomes. B.Tech in Computer Engineering is focused on intensive programming, developing new technologies and concepts, and mathematical skills. CS Engineers develop concepts and test them. On the other hand, BCA programme is designed to build programming skills for developing efficient and resource optimized software/website/cloud/mobile applications.
