If you wanna enjoy life to the fullest attitude then stay in hostel. but if you are very serious about your career and not interested in anything else then stay at your home become there would be so many factors at hostel to spoil you study and career.

I would say both.- in the house you can invite a study partner same in hostel with more friends and fun but if you are serious everywhere , you can study.

If we compare both and I have to choose any option out of these two then I'd rather go to the hostel. During his stay in hostel completely becomes the responsibility of your institutions that provide every facility you need.

Well I always believed that group study brings better results . In hostel you do have access to many resources in night too. I think hostel works better for studies
