Is it better to drop a year for JEE Advanced or should I take admission in an average college?

Devoting one full year for JEE preparation has its own merits and demerits. Dropping a year means that you will get sufficient amount of time to prepare for JEE and other engineering competitive exams. If you are not getting even tier 3 colleges and determined enough to crack JEE Advanced next year than I will suggest you to drop a year. But you should never repeat the mistakes which you did last year. Start a fresh preparation and make a list of important topics. Categorise them into 3 sub catego

As already pointed out by my fellow students taking a drop has its own merits and demerits. But before starting I would like to mention that whenever I would be referring to 'average college' it would be in regards with tier 1 government colleges which are among top 3 among their respective states.
