Is it better to stay inside or outside the LPU campus?

Safe & Secured Residential Facility (Accommodation) with excellent infrastructure benefit is one of the criteria behind selection of Good University. At the time of selection of BEST University, I definitely kept this as parameter. Being an Alumni of Lovely Professional University, in one word I must say LPUs residential facility is the most "Safe & Secured" for both boys & Girls. Student will definitely fully enjoy their academic life in most Controlled environment. Lovely Professional University is having best options in terms of most safe & secured accommodation facilities. LPU hostels are having capacity to accommodate 20000+ students. This is not just a University. Lovely Professional University campus is one of the finest campus in India & rightly said as others "like a city within a city" rather Home away from Home. Below are some of the rules for the Boys Hostel @ LPU, 1) 0% Ragging, 0% tolerance to any illegal substances like alcohol, drugs etc. Strict actioned used to be taken against the defaulters in case non-adherence of such rules. 2) Students are not allowed to enter any other Hostel without permission of the authority. LPU has Turnstile gates at major entry/exit points as well as boom barriers for vehicles, thereby ensuring that every movement is monitored. 3) Boys are allowed to go outside campus as per requirement but they need to return back & report to Hostel by 8 PM. 4) Special Permission will be extended to Boys student for night out with the written permission of Warden & Parents. 5) Any publicly offensive acts are clearly not allowed in the university and strict actions are taken against such act. Though there are many restrictions you can observe from the above mentioned points for the hostellers but believe me at the end of day you will find it necessary for all your security & safety. These restrictions would definitely make you learn how to lead your life in controlled environment. Stay Safe Stay Healthy !

I am an alumni of Lovely Professional University and would strongly suggest you to stay inside the campus of the university unless you are a day scholar. There are several reasons behind this. First and foremost is the world class security provided and also for the proximity to the classes. It is like a home away from home. Everything is available on the campus and safe for you. Here some of the benefits of staying inside the campus: Security: Whether it's a classroom or the university-mall, you will find CCTV cameras everywhere and with hundreds of security officials guarding the campus, you could sleep as cozy as a bug without the fear of anyone breaking in. Transport: While students living off-campus are stuck in traffic or waiting for a bus, students residing inside the campus get extra minutes of sleep or spend that precious time doing something productive. With the academic blocks located at a walkable distance away from our hostels, reaching class is as swift as a breeze. Social Life: On a campus with events happening almost every day of the week, you would hate to hear about something you missed the very next day. Be it an overnight hackathon or dance practice until 11 p. m. you'll be sure to take part in it without the thought of having to go home late and all alone. Living inside the campus gives you a chance to meet students from different parts of the world and get to know their cultures. You'll learn to adjust to people having different mindsets. There can be numerous other benefits like: Many facilities like ATMs inside the hostel, 24hr Opened Stores, Large playgrounds, Hostel Mess, Access to library till 9 pm, 24 hrs hospital facility available on the campus. If you are coming for B.Tech or law then I would recommend staying inside the hostel because it'll be very hectic for you to come daily for 95 classes especially in the summers plus it'll easily save you 12 hrs of extra time if time is your concern. Almost negligible power cuts and water issues. Very safe environment, CCTVs are installed in almost every corner of the university even in your corridors of the hostel. I hope this helps.

I will share the experience of one student with whom I MET recently. He did his BBA programme at LPU. It is better to live in the hostel at LPU. He misses his hostel life at LPU. He has a lot of memories with his hostel. LPU is not the only a university, it's like a city, then you need not stay outside. It is like a home away from home. Everything is available on the campus and safe for you. Living out on campus could lead to distraction and could give you a hard time studying. Staying on campus gives you an environment where studying for you would become more simple accessing the facility of the library with the books of all subjects you need any moment while living inside the campus you can better focus on the studies. From my personal experience Hostel life is the best life and a great experience than living outside. I had many friends that lived inside and outside the campus, and there is no comparison between these two. Lovely Professional University provides the largest residential capacity in the world. The university is committed to zero tolerance to ragging, alcohol, smoking, drugs and disciplinary misconduct. Automated turnstile gates with biometric machines regulate entry & exit to residential facility. There are many Pgs near to Lovely Professional University. Riya PG For girls, scholars PG for boys, M7 PG, Ashiyana, Benaam PG, Although most of the good PGs are near about social point. Since LPU is a very popular university and many people come to study at the university, there are many PGs available near the LPU campus. However, what I would suggest is that you stay in the campus hostel instead. The residential facility at the campus provides students with a comfortable and secure environment to stay. The hostel is built in an apartment-like fashion so that students could feel right at home. For food, there is a hygienic mess that provides the students with nutritious and wholesome meals four times a day. Then, washing clothes is a basic activity, but students find that difficult to do, especially during winters. To solve this problem, there is an in-house laundry facility available at a reasonable cost. Apart from that, medical assistance is available 24 hours of the day. There are separate gymnasiums for health-conscious boys and girls. For those who like to play sports, there is an indoor stadium where they can play different sports. Hope this will help You.

Hi, Hostels are always better but it's a personal choice whether one wants to stay in a hostel or outside. If I talk about my choice, I would prefer a hostel over outside accommodation the reasons I list below. 1. The primary concern of the parents is the security and safety of their children, and LPU is well known for its security. Turnstiles gates are there at the entry of hostels so that no other person should enter the hostel. 2. There is a 24 hr medical facility. 3. Open Gym, as well as the playground, is there in every hostel for the students. 4. Access to the library till 12 o'clock at midnight. 5. Mess and canteen facility in every hostel is there. 6.24*7 electricity supply and Wi-Fi. If all these facilities are provided, then I think there is no need to move outside. Thanks.

I am a passout from LPU and have profoundly utilized my time here in shaping my personality along with self-analysis. Unlike other universities, rules and regulations are quite strict here. From academics to extra-curricular activities, thorough support is given by our mentors/seniors, professors and management. Hi there, Residential facility at LPU is very authentic and genuine. It offers best residential facilities like 24*7 power supply, Gym, Laundry, Mess, Wi-Fi etc. With value for money. All residential facilities have dining halls that provide good quality and hygienic food four times a day. Over 1 Lacs meals are prepared each day! The hostels of LPU are 24x7 secure with good food facility. No one can enter the hostel without permission /without crossing the turnstile gates. Also, the moment students leave the hostel and move out of the campus (that they have to go after getting the leave duly sanctioned by the warden) the parents get a message about it. This in a way prevents students from going haywire. I have spent my 4 long years at LPU and opted for mess throughout. I must appreciate that LPU take utmost care of health and hygiene of students. Food is prepared as per the menu decided by the university. Every meal has minimum of 4 to 5 items and sometimes even more. Menu is decided considering the health and balanced diet of students. Food is tasty and has a complete blend of all the essential nutrients required by the human body. There is 4 time meal served throughout the day starting from Breakfast, Lunch, Evening Snacks and Dinner. Special menu is also prepared on festive occasions. University also provides the option to choose between Standard Mess and South Indian Mess. Standard mess has the mix of menu from North Indian, South Indian, Chinese and Italian Cuisines. Also, university keeps a regular check on the quality of food served to the students. There is surprise visit and checking being done by food inspectors alloted by LPU in the mess. For a student you get the perfect meal throughout from a glass of milk or tea accompanied with some Paratha or Poha or Idli or Sambar and sometimes even Sprouts. Lunch has a Curry, Rice Chapati, Salad, Curd or Raita and even a fruit sometimes. Evening snacks are some starters with Tea or Coffee Dinner is a perfect main course meal with 2 or 3 curries, Rice, Chapati, Salad, sweet and much more. There is different menu for different days, so that you don't get bored eating all the same stuff. You will get to eat all the healthy green vegetables to spicy and piquant dishes. If we talk about PGs, they are not at all safe as the people have free entry there. Also, food quality is not very good. Another is in absence of proper check the students can fall in trap of wrong habits and destroy their life.

According to my point of view it is really better to stay inside the LPU campus there are several reasons for it, first of all, it is really safe to stay inside the LPU campus as the hostels are really good according to me if you stay outside the campus it takes time to travel if you stay inside the campus it's really easy to access every facility available inside the campus. As for girls, it is really safe to stay inside the campus because the LPU campus gives you safety for girls which the outside world doesn't it gives your facility that people things that it's a jail for them but it not in today's world really important to be in a safe environment rather than enjoying your life because your parents do care about your safety, not your enjoyment. In the case of boys as well the university does not allow you to go outside the campus after 8 o'clock so that's why you are in safe hands. If you think that you will live outside I know living outside is little but less expensive than living inside the campus but if it is really problematic thing you live outside inside you can approach any of your friends easily as you live inside the hostel and you can get your doubts cleared at any time anywhere. Suggestion to you all you can accommodate inside rather than taking accommodation outside the campus. Pros to living in the hostel : 1. More comfortable and less hectic if you are fresher. 2.
