Is it compulsory for all to appear for LPUNEST entrance exam?

Asked about LPU - Lovely Professional University - Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.)

If one scores more than 90% in his/her 12th examination, then do they have to give the entrance exam?

It serves two purposes. It totally depends on the programme you are going to take admission in. If programme eligibility says LPUNEST is mandatory then you need to appear for it otherwise it's your choice to appear for it in order to avail maximum scholarship throughout the degree.

    Hello,
If you are looking for admission in B.Com at LPU, there is no LPUNEST entrance exam. Also, if you have 90% and above, you can even avail scholarship. As per the latest initiative by LPU, they have relaxed eligibility in many of the courses, stating During this period of ongoing COVID-19 pandemic lockdown, to support prospective students (candidates) to apply for admissions, direct online/remote admissions (subject to fulfillment of eligibility criteria) process has been started.
For more details, you can visit the website and contact LPU counselors.

    Hi
B.com, in LPU has the eligibility criteria 50% with English.
For B.Com. (Management Accounting and International Finance ) and B.Com (Hons.), the eligibility criteria is 60% with English.
LPUNest is not compulsory for B.com. If you have 90%+ you can get a scholarship too.
There are various scales of scholarships because LPU offers education which is hassle free.

    Hi Mili,
Due to COVID-19 pandemic, This year LPU has relaxed their eligibility criteria for their prospective students. LPUEST is mandatory as eligibility for B.Tech. But you are right, if you have above 90% in 10+2, you don't need to do it. Then you will be eligible to get direct admission.
In fact, Your marks in 10th class also get you the highest possible slab of scholarship itself. For other UG programs LPUNEST is not mandatory but can take LPUNEST exam to enhance the scholarship.
All the best for your future.

Earlier, a candidate must have to give test (LPUNEST) and must score certain percentile in his qualifying exams for admission. But, as per my knowledge due to COVID-19, LPU has relaxed various conditions for admission to support students in such pandemic situation. So, you can proceed for admission in LPU with good amount of scholarship without test. After admission, your marks in test considered for securing scholarship only.
Now, various education institutes such as LPU has floated COVID-19 front-line scholarship for COVID survivors and their dependents to target every aspirant in this current scenario

    Hello,
LPUNEST is not compulsory for admission for most of the courses. You can apply for admission after your Class 12th. You will be glad to know that LPU has relaxed their eligibility criteria for most of the programs due to COVID-19, and has exempted LPU NEST. LPU NEST is mandatory for admission in engineering, for other courses you need to fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria. Eligibility for admission varies from course to course, for detail of each and every course you can visit website. Being an LPU Alumni, I can say that LPU has experienced faculty members, well-equipped labs, great infrastructure, excellent placements, com

LPUNest is not compulsory for admission but you can give it for a better scale of scholarship.
First you can apply for admission and then book your LPUNest; the syllabus and paper pattern is given on the website of LPU. LPUNest is being conducted in an online proctored mode due to the grim condition of the country due to covid

In the situation of Covid-19, LPU has relaxed their eligibility norms. Therefore the entrance exam is not a mandate for all the programmes.
For B.com the eligibility criteria is Pass with 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English) or equivalent.
Based on your percentages you can also avail scholarship benefits, apply soon to grab the opportunity.
LPU provides ample opportunities to each and every eligible student to secure good placement with the help of a dedicated Division of Career Services. The university has been ranked high by various outer agencies with regard to placements. LPU is conferred with National Employability Award 2020

    Dear Student,
Its not necessary for those who are exempted (based on national level exam rank or other) from LPU-NEST Exam or for those who are seeking admission to a program where LPU-NEST is not compulsory.
HOWEVER, IN ANY OF THE CASE CANDIDATE CAN APPEAR FOR LPU-NEST EXAM TO AVAIL/INCREASE SCHOLARSHIP ON THE PROGRAM FEE.

LPU-NEST is exempted for those who have appeared for national level exam and fall with the conditions set by LPU. Whereas there are some programmes running at LPU, in which LPUNEST is not mandatory and can directly take admission in such programmes. But I would like to emphasize one thing LPU-NEST is also a scholarship exam, and students must appear for this exam before taking admission to avail the scholarship benefits.
P.S: Scholarship provided on the basis of LPU-NEST totally depends upon candidates performance. i.e candidates performance will decide which category scholarship he/she can get.
