Is it compulsory for all to appear for LPUNEST entrance exam?

Hi Mili, B.Com. is the good choice of subject if you are having strong control over subjects of commerce like Accounting, Banking And Financial Services, Economics, Finance, Financial Markets. Being Alumni of LPU what I got to know from my batchmates that, for taking admission in B.Com course you need not qualify in LPUNEST. But since you are a meritorious student, I must recommend you to pursue most upgraded B.Com (Hons.) course, but for the same you need to qualify in LPUNEST. Some of the Unique features of LPU in perspective to B.Com. Dear Mili, It depends on the programme you are choosing, for instance, if you want to do BTech then LPUNEST is mandatory to qualify, however, in the case of BBA, BCA, BA, you may get direct admission without the LPUNEST exam. There are around 400 courses for students on offer, within a variety of faculties, including economics, law, performing arts, management, engineering, fashion design, journalism, and zoology. Students can gain a diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral degrees. All courses at LPU are taught in English so it is required that all students applying for admission should have strong reading, writing, speaking, and understanding of the English Language. LPU has strong partnerships with large companies in a wide variety of industries, including Microsoft, Google, Amazon and Hilton Hotel. Students are encouraged to secure internships and placements throughout their studies. In an attempt to nurture students' entrepreneurial talents, the university provides office space and equipment, technology support and seed capital. In addition, there's a dedicated business development hub, which hires mentors to assist students who are developing strong business ideas. There's a large cricket stadium and health centre for students to access. Sports on offer include cricket, boxing, football, taekwondo, and basketball. The university follows admission criteria which varies from program to program. As you are looking for admission in BCom, LPU offers different courses in the field of the commerce and each have its own eligibility criteria. B.Com (Including with International Credit Transfer option) the eligibility criteria is 50% with English B.Com. (Management Accounting and International Finance ) the eligibility criteria 60% with English + LPUNEST B.Com (Hons.) the eligibility criteria 60% with English + LPUNEST B.Com (Financial Process Automation)the eligibility criteria 60% with English & Maths + LPUNEST So, if you are taking admission in Regular BCOM you can go for direct admission. Whereas for the admission in other BCom courses you need to appear in LPUNEST.

Hello, It depends on the programme. There are a lot of courses in lpu where LPU NEST is mandatory for the eligibility but in some courses, candidate can give LPU NEST just for scholarship purposes. LPUNEST is scholarship and eligibility specific. It serves two purposes.It totally depends on the programme you are going to take admission in. If programme eligibility says LPUNEST is mandatory then you need to appear for it otherwise it's your choice to appear for it in order to avail maximum scholarship throughout the degree.

As an alumni of LPU i would like to answer this question. Admission in any programme depends on qualifying the Eligibility criteria for that programme. Eligibility Criteria for Bcom is to Pass with 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST. LPU also accepts Pearson Undergraduate Entrance Exam scores for Eligibility. So, qualifying the Eligibility you can proceed for Admissions. LPU conducts LPU NEST for all the programmes. LPU NEST is National Entrance and Scholarship Test for admission to various programmes in Lovely Professional University. This test forms the basis of eligibility and scholarship for most of the programmes and for some of the programmes test is applicable only for scholarship. For most of the programmes, it serves both the purposes. As per the official website of LPU, the Schedule for LPU NEST has been started for all the programmes for this current session I. e 2021. As far as Scholarship is concerned, the amount of scholarship depends on the fee of the programme, date of admission and performance of the student in LPU NEST. Also, there is no negative marking in this exam so chances of scoring well are more in this. In order to apply for the Exam, you can refer the following steps : 1 Register yourself on the portal 2. Hi there, you will have to appear for LPUNEST if the program that you are seeking admission in has LPUNEST marked as an eligibility. LPUNEST is mandatory for B Tech programs and Hons programs. However, for the rest of the programs, LPUNEST is not mandatory for admission, but you can still appear for it for scholarship purpose. Hope this answers your question. Good Luck
