    Hello Trapti,
    English plays an vital role in our day-to-day life. There is great utility of English in modern world. So, the use of English should be continued along with Hindi and other regional languages.
    In this land of innumerable regional languages in different States, English serves as a link-language in the country. English language is widely used in official communications also. The importance of English language in education and in students' life cannot be denied. The communication of India with other countries takes place in English language only. So, you better make up your mind that it is compulsory to know and speak English.
