Yes, taking the JEE Main exam is required for Galgotias University's BTech curriculum. As part of the university's eligibility requirements for the BTech programme, candidates must have passed the 10+2 exam with a minimum percentage of marks in accordance with AICTE/AKTU standards and receive AKTU Counselling based on JEE-Main rank. Fulfilling these requirements, which include JEE Main ranks, is mandatory for Galgotias University's BTech programme entrance.

No, candidates who have not appeared for JEE Main will be shortlisted based on their merit in the last qualifying exam i.e., Class 12 scores. Galgotias University inducts candidates to the BTech programme through merit or entrance exam. For admission through the entrance exam, candidates should have a valid score in JEE-Main or CUET based on which they will be selected for further admission round.

Also, for admission through class 12 marks, candidates must have the required aggregate and subject-wise marks as specified in the university’s prospectus based on which they will be selected and will have to report to the admission cell
