Is it compulsory to appear for JEE mains exam to get admission in engineering colleges?

No. jee is for colleges like its,nits and others like IIITs and few college's.
for private colleges like Vit,srm etc. they have their exams but still you can benefit with Jee score and they too will admit.
Even with out writing exam you can get good engineering private colleges by Donation
