Hi No. Compared to all other management entrance exams like CAT, GMAT, XAT, SNAP, TANCET is very much easy. To get admission to PSG College of Technology in Coimbatore, it is not compulsory to appear for the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET). However, TANCET scores are used as a basis for admission to certain postgraduate programs offered by the college, such as MBA, M.E. , and M.Tech. Although all government engineering colleges consider admission only through TANCET counseling for the candidates who also fulfill the eligibility criteria.

No, it is not compulsory to appear in TANCET in order to get admission to PSG College. If you want to get admission into certain courses like MBA and M.Tech, you may appear for TANCET. Otherwise, GATE scores are accepted for M.Tech courses, just as CAT and MAT scores are for MBA courses. For other courses, like B.Sc. And M.Sc. You can apply for direct admission. Only MCA courses require you to appear in the TANCET MCA exam to get admission on government seats.
