    No, it is not mandatory to appear for both MTET (Meghalaya Teacher Eligibility Test) Paper 1 and 2. Candidates can choose to appear for either Paper 1 or Paper 2, depending on their desired teaching level. The MTET exam is conducted in two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2.
