    No, it is not mandatory to appear for both UPTET (Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test) Paper 1 and 2. Candidates can choose to appear for either Paper 1 or Paper 2, depending on their desired teaching level. The UPTET exam is conducted in two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 is for candidates who wish to teach classes I to V, while Paper 2 is for candidates who wish to teach classes VI to VIII.     No, it's not necessary, to attempt both papers in the UPTET exam. If you want to become a teacher at the primary level (nursery to 5) then go for paper 1 and if you want to become a teacher at the junior level (6 to 8) then go for paper 2. The UPTET exam is held for two papers i. e. paper 1 and paper 2. Students planning to teach Classes 1 to class 8 need to give both papers. Both UPTET papers are conducted on the same day.
