    Yes, both papers are compulsory. Mode of the exam: The examination will be conducted only in the CBT mode. The number of papers: Joint Entrance Examination-Advanced will consist of two question papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2 of three hours duration each. Language: English and Hindi Total duration: 6 hours Marking scheme: The marking schemes change each year. Negative marks may be awarded for incorrect answers to some of the questions. Details of the marking scheme will be provided in the Instructions to Students section at the time of the Joint Entrance Examination.
