    Yes clearing the cutoff is vital. You can not get admission any other way than clearing the cut off.

    Absolutely yes. I hope you are talking about XAT cutoffs as it is the first of many cut offs u have to clear before getting admission to XLRI. Even in xat exam you have to clear all sectional cutoffs as well
