Is it compulsory to do research after completing MS?

I am doing a 5 year dual degree of btech in ECE and MS in research in ECE from IIIT-H.

    Hi Kurush,
    Research Programmes and MS are two different thing. During MS, you will have to undertake project and thesis writing but that is not termed as research work.
