5 years agoHi Tanya Dhamija,
NO NO, Not at all. In fact, this year LPU has exempt the LPUNEST also to facilitate the candidates in the COVID-19 Pandemic situation. Provided that you clear the minimum eligibility criteria and selection process. In most of the top institutions like Iims etc. The minimum eligibility for graduation is 50% aggregate while some top players like LPU have fixed it at 55% in any stream of graduation. But the marks in graduation are not the only criteria, most of the institutions also take entrance tests or group discussions or interviews or all of them. Some top entrance examinations are: CAT MAT XAT SNAP IBSAT and LPU NE...more -
The admission to this coveted program at LPU is given on the basis of an INTERVIEW, which can be organised on video call these days due to Covid-19 lock down. Provided ofcourse you clear the basic eligibility criteria of 55% in your graduation. So CAT, MAT, XAT etc are not mandatory, however if you want to improve your scholarships, then you may appear for LPUNEST later.

Right now, I have also applied for LPU's MBA for this year and I had done my BBA their but thing I have to clarify you that there is no direct admission procedure in MBA. You have to give atleast one entrance exam whether it is CAT, MAT, XAT or LPUNEST. Although, it is written in their website and you have to check what are the minimum marks required in any one of these exams to take admission in MBA and after that you can take scholarship according to your graduation marks if you are not falling in any scholarship category after appearing in any National Level Entrance Exam.

No, it's not like that. As you have scored 72%, that is not bad, you will be granted direct entry on the basis of your graduation performance. Qualifying XAT-MAT-CAT is an option for entry in LPU but not the only criteria, you can avail MBA through your graduation marks also.
Eligibility criteria: -
Pass with 50% aggregate marks in Bachelor's degree (any discipline) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST and interview or pass with 50% aggregate marks in Bachelor's degree (any discipline) or equivalent subject to valid score in CAT/ MAT/ XAT and interview.

No, not at all , No CAT/MAT etc are required as due to COVID-19 LPU has relaxed eligibility norms and exempted the aspiring candidates from any kind of test .
The eligibility is : 55% + Interview
Still you can appear in LPUNEST to fetch the benefit of scholarship.
LPU offers various scholarships on different basis i.e on basis of the performance in qualifying examination, LPU NEST (Its eligibility & scholarship test) and some national level examinations like JEE Mains/CAT etc. , Sports scholarships, disability scholarships and COVID-19 Frontline scholarship to provide financial assistance to the aspiring candidates.
