If you want to make a career in Ethical Hacking, then you should definitely go for Computer Engineering or Computer Science. It's not necessary that if you don't have a degree related to IT field you won't be able learn Hacking. Even a 12th Pass student can learn Ethical Hacking course. Ethical Hacking course is for everyone even a Commerce student can learn Ethical Hacking. But if you want to do job as a Ethical Hacker in a company, then you require a specific degree. Especially IT companies recruit candidates who have done Software Engineering or Computer Science. Even you can learn this course with your Graduation period.

No, there is absolutely no necessity of having an engineering degree to become an ethical hacker. What one needs is good logical thinking, ability to look beyond obvious and of course oodles of passion for this subject. Once you have this, then learn a computer language and you are into it. Best wishes.
