For Lecturer it is compulsory that u mast have cleared the NET exam in the subject of ur post graduation. But as in the case of Sushila vs. University Grants Commission it was held by supreme court that the persons who have registered or completed P hd up to 2009 they are exempted from NET exam themselves. If u have done masters u can opt for M Phil or P hd. Some of the well known institutes/Universities providing Doctorate degree are University of Delhi, Lovely Professional university, Punjabi university Patiala.
